Simple, easy, and healthy fried cauliflower rice cooked in a skillet. A great side dish for chicken, beef, seafood, plant-based protein, or stir-fry vegetables. You can also use this low-carb rice to replace regular rice to make fried rice or pilaf.
This cauliflower rice is a very simple dish, yet very comforting and versatile. You won’t need a recipe to make it, once you know the basic of it. You just need to experiment with the seasoning to create different flavors.
There are several ways to make it; microwaving, roasting, or stir-frying. By far microwave is the easiest, and healthiest way to cook the cauliflower rice but stir-frying still my favorite method as it gives a lovely nutty flavor.
Fried Cauliflower Rice
- 1 head of cauliflower
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Remove the cauliflower outer leaves and chop into smaller chunks. Add cauliflower into a food processor and pulse for about 15 to 20 seconds, or until it resembles the grains of rice. Don’t over process and work in batches.
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chopped garlic and stir fry for 30 seconds or until fragrant. Stir in the cauliflower and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, until cauliflower rice begins to soften. Season fried cauliflower rice with salt and black pepper, mix well.
