Aloe Vera and Roasemary Lemonade

This aloe vera and rosemary lemonade so refreshing and easy to make. Fresh rosemary adds a refreshing twist to a summertime favorite.

Aloe vera gel is believed to have benefits to relieve the sunburn and soothe the skins. But this tropical plant isn’t only useful for the skins and as a decorated plant. Its juice also refreshing and has many health benefits. Aloe vera juice is a great way of detoxing and keep the liver healthy. It’s also good for constipation and to treat dehydration.

You can make aloe vera juice at home by crushing the flesh of the aloe vera leaf, and then strain it. But its easier to use bottled juice, try to use unsweetened pure aloe vera juice if you can.

Rosemary simple syrup

Aloe vera juice itself is so refreshing, but adding fresh rosemary sprigs makes the drink fresh, and light, and also it looks very pretty as a garnish.

To make this drink first you need to make the rosemary simple syrup by boiling water, sugar, and fresh rosemary sprigs together. You can make a big batch of this rosemary simple syrup and keep it in the fridge for up to a week.

Aloe Vera and Rosemary Lemonade

Ingredients

Rosemary simple syrup

  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 sprigs rosemary

Lemonade

  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 3 cup aloe vera juice
  • 1/4 cup aloe vera pulp
  • 1 cucumber, sliced thinly
  • 2 lemons, sliced thinly
  • fresh rosemary sprigs

Direction

  1. First, make the rosemary simple syrup by boiling 1 cup water with 1/2 cup sugar, and 2 sprigs fresh rosemary. Let the mixture boil, then reduce the heat to low, and let simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
  2. Let the rosemary simple syrup sit for 10 minutes, then remove and discard rosemary sprigs. Put the simple syrup in the fridge to cool down.
  3. Transfer simple syrup to the pitcher, add 1/2 cup lemon juice, 3 cups aloe vera juice, and 1/4 cup aloe vera pulp. Serve over ice. If desired, top with fresh rosemary sprigs and lemon slices
