I prefer something like sweet potato hash, savoury toast or simple egg dishes for my breakfast. It makes me fuller and gives me more energy. I’m not into sweet food breakfast but sometimes when I’m super busy I start my morning with this power breakfast smoothie with granola.
Ripe banana combined with almond milk makes a velvety smooth smoothie. I use medjool date to add sweetness, but if you want sweeter smoothie you can add sugar or maple syrup. I mixed this banana smoothies with espresso because I need caffeine to fully function in the morning. Everyone knows drink coffee with an empty stomach is not a good idea, but luckily I have found a solusi sakit maag and I can enjoy my coffee in the morning.

Power Breakfast Smoothie with Granola
- 2 ripe banana, freeze
- 50 ml espresso
- 2 medjool dates
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 scoop protein powder
- 1/2 cup ice cubes
- granola, optional
- Put banana, dates, espresso, almond milk, protein powder and ice cubes in a blender.
- Blend until all the ingredients are combined and smooth.
- Pour smoothies into serving glasses, topped with granola if desired. Serve immediately.
